Currently, the demand for importing solar panels is quite popular in Vietnam, especially at the end of the year; the quantity of importing solar panels is continuously bigger. Products related to solar cells mainly made from Malaysia and China are very popular at this time. Therefore, the shortage of containers, sea and air freight rates are increasing too much. So our company, SM GLOBAL LOGISTICS VIETNAM would like to give the notes and procedures for importing items related to solar batteries for reference as below:
Procedures for importing solar batteries:
1. HS code of solar panels, HS code of the electric heater
• HS code of solar panels: 85414022. Preferential import tax 0%, VAT 10%.
• HS code of electric heater: 85044090. Preferential import tax 0%, VAT 10%.
2. Customs dossier for imported solar battery
Normally, businesses have to run the project progress, so they will import the panels to Vietnam first to install the works on schedule, leading to some possible situations as follows:
– The price when the panel goes separately without frame will be charged because it is also declared as a solar panel.
– The iron frame tax will also be charged separately and high pressure, so businesses will be pushed to high value of goods
– Goods are easily transferred if declared incorrectly
Solar panels (100% new products) are not on the list of specialized management goods or apply for a license, so the enterprise does normal import procedures.
Enterprises pay attention to the issue of accurate customs value declaration and protect trademarks if any.
Basic set of profiles include:
– Import customs declaration
– Commercial Invoice (commercial invoice)
– Bill of Lading
– C / O form E (if there is no CO, still apply 0%)
– Other documents (if any)
Remark:
– In the peak season, should be checked space in advance and container early to avoid shortage of shell and no space on international line ship.
– Prices will be changed by week, so importers need to check weekly shipping rates to avoid price changes.
