Notably, Vietnam exported about 2.28 million tons of steel, decreasing 22.15% in comparison with the reported value over the same period last year, but the export value reached 2.3 billion USD, rising 12.53%, focusing on the domestic market: ASEAN, EU, USA, Korea.

1. Export procedure of steel from VietNam to India

According to the current regulation, Steel is not in the List of prohibited Exports from Vietnam to India, so the enterprise can do the export procedure pursuant to current stipulations.

Hs Code

Steel has many HS codes, depending on the nature of the item, you can choose a suitable HS code for the product.

Raw steel is covered by chapter 72, product is covered by chapter 73, and chapter 98 is a supplement to chapters 72, and 73.

Customs duties on exporting steel in Vietnam

–          By Air Freight

Air freight from India to Vietnam is significantly faster than ocean shipping, with consignments typically taking from 2- 4 days to reach their destination. It should be noted that air freight is more expensive than shipping by sea, especially for consignments weighing 100kg or more.
