Among Vietnam’s main exports, electronic components are the most popular item. According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of computers and electronic components in December of 2021 is estimated at over US$5.03 billion, up 14.13% over the previous month and up 23.12 % compared to December 2020. In general, in 2021, the export turnover of computers and electronic components reached 50.82 billion USD, up 14.03% compared to 2020 and accounting for over 15.11% of the total export turnover of goods of the whole country. Meanwhile, as the largest export market in Vietnam, the amount of electronic components that exported to the US has increased continuously over the years and achieved great numbers. The high demand for importing electronic components has requied import-export companies as well as logistics companies to understand the process of exporting this item to the US market in particular and to foreign markets in general.

1. What is Electronic components

Vietnam has many electronic factories from big brands such as: Samsung, Foxconn, Intel, ABECO, DEAWOO,…  Exporting electronic components products are also very diverse, including: phone components, computers, household electrical appliances, capacitors electricity, inductors, resistors, equipment in production machinery,… Big electric component factories are concentrated on many areas throughout Vietnam. 2. Documentation and tax for exporting Electronic components

Electronic components is not banned for exporting. However, if the commodity inlude battery, you should check with line about MSDS or related documentation. With direct service, the vessel will call to other port before arrive destination, but no change the vessel durning the journeys.
